Heya began with a twofold mission: to connect growing companies with reliable team members, and to create economic opportunity for talented individuals.

When we first started, the offshore staffing market was flooded with dollar-an-hour virtual assistants, zero oversight, and no reliability to speak of. Business owners were frustrated. Workers were overworked and underpaid—or simply not delivering. No one was winning. We set out to change that.

OUR STORY

From day one, we invested in people. We built offices, hired local leadership, and paid competitive salaries so our team members could build stable futures. 

We understood the key difference: when individuals feel supported with proper work environments, management, and care, they produce exceptional work—and clients feel the difference.

Our expansion into South Africa allowed us to bring this model to more global areas and industries, all while remaining committed to improving the economic outlook of our team members.

Today, with an established office in South Africa and leadership in the United States, Heya brings together the strengths of two continents. We serve U.S.- and U.K.-based companies that want more than outsourcing—they want dedicated teams, long-term partnership, and on-the-ground accountability.

We didn’t just create a cheaper alternative to local staffing; we created a more human, more reliable way to scale.

And that’s what we continue to do every day.
